Minutes of the September meeting were read and approved.
Crime Report—Ex Officer Scott Seibel reported 3 stolen automobiles and 4 auto burglaries. Report from board of an increase in illicit activity at Imperial Motel (Central and High).
Dickens of a Dinner—Dickens of a Dinner will take place December 3rd this year; we will need all hands on deck from the neighborhood to help put this annual event on!
Newsletter—Bonnie and Kathy are burned out writing newsletters, moving towards flyers and digital media instead of a full newsletter for Dickens promotion.
119 High St—Ann will keep in touch with the owner and keep us updated on project progress. The plan remains to restore the back house and demolish the front house, using salvageable materials from front to back house.
Walkability—The stoplight issue on Lead and Coal has been deferred to future meeting (October 17) to see about doing a study about light placement (Walter vs. Edith)
ART—Pending requests
- Flashing stoplights on Broadway between 10pm-6am to slow speeding traffic.
- Restripe Edith with parking and protected bike lane.
- Restripe Broadway with parking, bike lane, middle turn lane and one lane each direction of traffic.
- Narrow streets, slowing traffic will follow.
- Changing speed limit on Central to 25 mph
ABQ Conservation Association—5 November is tentative date for annual garage sale. Bring donations to filling station or pay $10 to set up your own table. Proceeds go to TACA.
Steve Grant—Request the board writes a letter recognizing our support of the bed and breakfast that Steve and his family own and operate. No pressing reason, just hopes to be proactive and have proof that the neighborhood and board are supportive of this business!
Meeting adjourned at 7:10pm. Next meeting 6:30 pm November 2nd
