October Meeting Minutes
Huning Highland Historic District Association Meeting
6:30pm | Preservation Station
Minutes from the September meeting were reviewed.
NEGLECTED PROPERTIES
An update from Homewise regarding progress on 119 High SE was shared. Landmarks recently approved elevations for the property. In addition, the City confirmed that no on-site parking is required, although Homewise continues to look at this option since they consider it an amenity for potential buyers. They are currently awaiting the delivery of upgraded security fencing and the detailed plans required for obtaining necessary City permits. Homewise anticipates that the start of construction is months away.
TRAFFIC LIGHTS
Installation of traffic lights on Lead and Coal at Walter has begun. It was announced that a camera will be installed on Lead, aimed uphill toward I-25, and will turn the stoplight at Walter to red if cars are detected exceeding the speed limit. Neighbors voiced a wait-and-see attitude toward the effect these additions will have on slowing traffic.
The next meeting will be November 2.
